Scott Peterson

Scott Peterson is the senior director of Equity and Leadership Development for the YMCA of the North. He holds a Master of Organizational Leadership degree and has 25-plus years of executive leadership in urban, suburban, and rural communities representing a broad spectrum of diversity reflected in race, ethnicity, and economics.

Scott has facilitated leadership training for more than 25 years covering a variety of topics including diversity and inclusion, managing change, leadership coaching, and communication; and is an Intercultural Development Inventory Assessment Qualified Administrator (QA). He is passionate about developing leaders who can lead with a lens of equity to create environments where all can thrive.

In his role with the YMCA, Scott provides leadership to the development of modules for the Equity Innovation Center; facilitates conversations around equity, diversity, and inclusion; and engages leaders developing plans for their own equity journey.
