Dr. Jacqueline Palmer currently serves as the Chief Diversity Officer and Special Assistant to the President for Strayer University. In this capacity, Dr. Palmer is responsible for leading the effort to ensure the university mission and strategy reflect a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion agenda and that the culture within the university fosters a truly inclusive climate. Dr. Palmer makes student success a key priority through continuously working collaboratively with staff, faculty, and students. As special assistant to the President, she handles the intake of all student inquiries via mail, email, phone, and in-person visits to the Office of the President. Having just celebrated her 15th anniversary with Strayer, Dr. Palmer has served in several roles within the university. Starting as a Campus Dean, she soon moved to various roles in the Office of Student Affairs, including the Dean of Students. She transitioned into her current role as University CDO and Special Assistant to the President.

Dr. Palmer is inspired at every opportunity to enrich the lives of students of all ages and support others in their pursuit of higher education. She is active in both her church and community and always enjoys the opportunity to champion the difference that education makes in one’s life. Dr. Palmer holds a B.S. in Administrative Science from Yale University, an M.S. in Technology Management from Johns Hopkins University, and an Ed.D. in Higher Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.
