Faith-based ERGs—Why Now?
Day 2Session Code: S2-C
When: April 11, 2018
Location/Room: 200 AB
Track: D&I Strategy
Presenters: Mark Fowler, Tanenbaum | Ivy Latimer, CVS Health | Dr. George Clayton, GSK | Angie Molina, Target
Between 2004 and 2012, DiversityInc recorded a 23-percent increase in the number of their Top 50 companies who had a faith-based ERG. In the last 18 months, Tanenbaum has observed a significant increase in corporate interest in faith-based ERGs. In some cases, this reverses a trend of companies vowing to NEVER have faith-based ERGs. Why now? What’s changed?
This panel discussion presents three companies who recently launched faith-based ERGs and why their companies decided it was the right time to “take the plunge.” Moderated by Tanenbaum, this panel will feature representatives from CVS, GSK, and Target and will explore the business case for faith-based ERGs in terms of the current political climate and D&I landscape.
- Gain a basic understanding of the business case for faith-based ERGs.
- Explore the connection between the current political environment and the increased need for, and interest in, faith-based ERGs.
- Compare strategies from three different companies who have launched faith-based ERGs in the last 18 months.
