Description
Sustainability of efforts and resilience are important when planning large-scale organizational change. This session will provide an overview of the journey Hennepin County has been on to cultivate the organizational culture, build capacity and establish the necessary systems to support diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and disparity reduction efforts.
DEI and racial equity efforts are often viewed through siloed lenses or approached as individual efforts. This session will “get up on the balcony” and provide a framework for looking at the interconnectedness of efforts and the underlying organizational systems or structures that support or hinder sustainable change.
Learning Outcomes
• Understand how Hennepin County created the essential foundation and sustained DEI efforts on a large scale over time
• Examine strategies used to enhance individual resilience and sustainable organizational transformation
