What do you do when your challenge is bigger than one organization?

When Minnesota found itself at the center of a racial reckoning, more than 80 for-profit and nonprofit organizations came together to learn from each other and center on the voices of Black Minnesotans inside and outside of our workforce.

Attend this session to learn from the lived experiences of the executives and employees behind the Minnesota Business Coalition for Racial Equity (MBCRE) on the challenges and lessons from navigating the journey to building an equitable state for Black Minnesotans.

We’ll examine the Black-centered model for impact and the implications of bringing together senior leaders across policy, philanthropy, DEI, and HR to develop a strategic plan to address social issues across organizations. We’ll discuss how MBCRE members are shifting the mindset to see racial equity as a critical human rights issue costing Minnesota more than $287 billion.

In this session, you’ll hear from company representatives about how to sustain the support for DEI beyond a moment and launch a movement. Discover the steps to take individual action that will collectively impact your organization and the work.
