Description

We attend conferences to glean what we can do more of or differently when we return back to our workplaces. People strive to understand and implement best practice work in their organizations. In this session, two senior leaders—thought leaders in the field of diversity, equity and inclusion—will share their knowledge and experience with multiple organizations’ best practices and experiences of implementation on two different continents.

Using the Global Diversity & Inclusion Benchmarks (www.centreforglobalinclusion.org), with 14 categories and 266 benchmarks, they will create space for you to engage other participants and help you plan strategy and guide implementation of actions that will support your achievement of D&I goals. The framework focuses on outcomes of D&I work, across five levels of achievement, to build to best practices.

Learning Outcomes
  1. Identify the five approaches to D&I, your organization’s approach, and potential gaps in that approach
  2. Apply a means of assessing your D&I practices and use of the guidelines to develop actions to achieve best practices
  3. Explore examples of other organizations’ successes to bridge gaps
