Marketing and Engagement Manager
A program of Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, The Forum on Workplace Inclusion designs and convenes programming for professionals seeking strategies, resources, and stretch opportunities for personal, professional, and organizational development. Over the past 34 years, our flagship conference has grown to become the largest and one of the most highly-valued workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) learning experiences in the United States, bringing cross-sector leaders together to share practices, exchange ideas, and engage in experiential learning.
The Marketing and Engagement Manager is primarily responsible for The Forum’s marketing and communications and provides oversight to ensure the effectiveness of other external and internal marketing resources/contractors. This position manages and executes Forum marketing deliverables and is also responsible for The Forum’s social media presence. The marketing effort is both internal and external to our host, Augsburg University, and includes a global presence.
Secondarily, working with the Director of Sales and Engagement this position, along with the Administrative Coordinator/Registrar, is also responsible for the management and delivery of negotiated benefits for sponsors, group sales, exhibitors, trades/alliances, and other relationships; registration support; and database segmentation and research.

Director of Sales and Engagement

Over the past 34 years, our flagship conference has grown to become the largest and one of the most highly-valued workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) learning experiences in the United States, bringing cross-sector leaders together to share practices, exchange ideas, and engage in experiential learning.
This position is responsible for growing the size and engagement of the Forum community through participation in Forum learning events, through financial contributions, and in collaborative partnerships that expand opportunities It will do this by: exploring and creating new alliances and partnerships to expand Forum services and brand recognition; assessing the viability of staff to create and maintain new products and services; engaging with organizations to create sponsorship, trade, in kind, exhibitor, and advertiser agreements while overseeing the delivery of benefits; engaging individuals and groups in registration sales; creating sales strategies and pricing models, increase social media engagement especially through LinkedIn; researching and implementing membership versus subscription options; and overseeing communications, marketing, and public relations strategies, processes, and staff.
